1. Purpose
Summit Motion Wellness is profoundly committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional therapeutic environment. Because we operate as a mobile service—delivering active movement, rehabilitation, and wellness programs directly to our clients' chosen locations (homes, offices, or community spaces)—this Code of Conduct is designed to establish clear safety boundaries for our mobile staff while on-site.
Every member of our team has the right to work in an atmosphere that promotes safety, professional mutual respect, and dignity, entirely free from harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hazardous working conditions.
2. Scope and Application
Compliance with this Policy is mandatory and serves as a strict condition for booking and receiving any mobile treatment. This Code applies unconditionally to:
Clients: Anyone hosting or receiving mobile care directly or through a third-party payer.
Visitors / On-Site Individuals: Any family members, friends, colleagues, or other individuals present at the client's location during the scheduled service.
3. Expectations of Conduct
At Summit Motion Wellness, harassment—whether physical, verbal, psychological, sexual, or environmental—is entirely unacceptable. Because our staff is entering your private or corporate space, clients are expected to maintain a safe and respectful working environment.
In accordance with the B.C. Human Rights Code, any discrimination, bullying, or harassment directed at our mobile workers on the basis of indigenous identity, race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, political belief, religion, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or age is strictly prohibited.
Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to, the following examples:
Hostile Environment: Verbal abuse, profanity, shouting, insults, derogatory remarks, or intimidation by the client or anyone else present at the location.
Physical Threats & Violence: Any form of physical assault, aggressive gestures, or behavior that compromises the physical safety of the practitioner.
Unsafe On-Site Conditions: Failure to provide a clean, secure space for treatment; active smoking/vaping during the session; or presence of illegal substances or unsecured hazards.
Unsecured Pets: Failure to secure aggressive or disruptive animals prior to the practitioner’s arrival and for the duration of the session.
Unwanted Physical Contact & Sexual Harassment: Unsolicited touching outside of the necessary therapeutic context, suggestive requests, inappropriate attire, or displaying objectionable/pornographic imagery in the treatment space.
4. Consequences of Policy Violation
ummit Motion Wellness treats any violation of this Policy with the highest severity. If a Client or anyone present at the mobile location fails to meet these expectations, our staff will prioritize their immediate safety. We reserve the right to enforce the following measures:
Immediate Session Termination & Staff Departure: Instead of asking a client to leave, our practitioner will immediately cease treatment, pack their equipment, and exit your premises. The full session fee will still be charged.
Right to Refuse Entry: If a practitioner arrives at a location and deems the environment or the behavior of those present to be unsafe or hostile, they have the right to refuse entry and leave immediately.
Formal Warning or Service Suspension: Depending on the breach, the client may receive an explicit written warning detailing the conditions required for any future mobile visits.
Permanent Discharge and Ban: For severe or repeated violations, Summit Motion Wellness will permanently terminate the relationship, cancel all future mobile bookings, and ban the individual from accessing our services.
Law Enforcement Escalation: In instances involving physical confinement, threats of violence, sexual assault, or aggressive behavior, our staff will immediately leave and report the incident to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) or appropriate local detachment.
